Abdul Wahid Nour, leader of the Sudan Liberation Movement, has said that military leaders Burhan and Hemedti have no right to rule while in military uniform. He insisted they must relinquish their military status if they wish to engage in politics.
Nour called for a civilian-led governance structure and the establishment of a new national army. He rejected any settlement that could restore Islamist power in Sudan.
He emphasized the need for unity, equal citizenship, and the resolution of underlying conflicts to prevent the country’s partition.
