Nadeen Ayoub said she grew up surrounded by ambitious, educated and accomplished women. Her aunts were doctors, lawyers and successful in their respective fields, and at the same time they had families, raised children and were very present mothers, she said.
Ayoub said her own mother pursued her PhD later in life, which she admires because it showed her that ambition and education do not have an expiration date. She said she never felt she had to choose between being ambitious, having a career and having a family.
