Turkey, the host of COP31, is set to push for an "electrification" drive aimed at helping meet global energy demand, as the UN climate conference kicks off in Antalya on Monday.

The annual summit is taking place this year under the shadow of a cost-of-living crisis fuelled by the war in the Middle East.
