With Halloween over in Pokémon Pokopia, the game is moving on to apples. Apples for Applin begins Nov. 16 at 5 a.m. in-game time and adds Applin, along with its Dragon/Grass-type evolutions, to your island. Joining takes two steps. Update to version 2.0.1, then log in with an internet connection, and the event kicks off. Find the right treesThe goal is to track down special apple trees that produce Syrupy Apples. Take them to Applin at a Pokémon Center and swap them for event items. Those items are apple-themed habitat pieces. Once placed, they draw in Applin and its full evolution line: Appletun, Flapple, Dipplin and Hydrapple. That's four evolutions needing room, so expect your island to fill up with fruit. The setup matches the previous event. Over the past couple of weeks, Pumpkaboo's Sweet Surprises had players pulling tricks on Pokémon for candy, then trading with Pumpkaboo for Halloween decorations. That event has officially wrapped, which leaves a few quiet days before the apple trees appear. Watch the calendarThe schedule is tight. Apples for Applin launches a few days ahead of Grand Theft Auto 6, so anyone picking that up has only a short stretch to collect Syrupy Apples and complete the event item set before the new game takes over their free time. Jumping ahead is off the table. Setting your system clock forward no longer starts events early. Moving the clock back does still work. If you miss the live window, you can time travel backward and play the event whenever you like. The downside is that you may lose your weekly stamps, so weigh that before changing the clock. The safer option is to wait a year. Events come back annually, and Apples for Applin returns on Nov. 16, 2027. What comes after the applesApples for Applin closes Dec. 1 at 4:59 a.m. in-game time. That timing fits with the next piece of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass, the Dazzling Decorations DLC, due Dec. 9, 2026.
